Because of the water needed to grow crops to feed the cows, it can take up to 15,000 litres of water to produce 1 kilogram of beef!
The beef may well have come from a cow that grazed on Irish pastures.
The cheese could have been made from the milk of dairy cows in the USA.
Lots of resources and fuel might have been used to produce your burger.
