Cocoa farmers harvest more than 3 million tonnes of cocoa beans a year!
The ripe fruit are harvested and the seeds are removed by hand.
The beans are dried, packed into sacks and shipped across the sea to factories.
The beans are shelled, roasted, ground and turned into a smooth paste.
Mixed with sugar and other ingredients, we end up with scrumptious chocolate.
